Neutralize an Acid Spill
When dealing with any type of acid spill clean-up, it is of the utmost importance that personal safety is the first concern. With some conventional acid spill clean-up methods, you are still left with an unsafe waste material to collect and dispose of.
AC Environmental's AC Aqua encapsulating polymer is a safe alternative when dealing with acid based spills. AC Aqua not only encapsulates the acid but also neutralizes the acid making it safer to handle and dispose of.
AC Aqua is available in fine grain, medium grain and coarse grain polymer. The fine grain reacts much more quickly which makes it an ideal option when dealing with acid spills. The medium and coarse grain polymers are used when dealing with larger volumes and are ideal when needing to clean up acid that is used as part of a process and is contained.
AC Aqua can be applied directly to the acid spill where encapsulation will take place immediately reducing risk of further spreading.
AC has also recently developed an acid neutralizing pad. The pad can be applied directly to a spill at which time it will change from its original light purple colour to a yellowish colour and finally a dark purple colour at which point the acid is neutralized.
